July 6

We drove to Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit in Medora, North Dakota. On the way we stopped at the Painted Canyon Visitors Center. At the South Unit Visitors Center we saw Teddy Roosevelt’s log cabin which was on his North Dakota ranch. We set up camp at the Cottonwood Campground inside the park. On the way there we drove through a prairie dog town. After setting up the trailer we went back to Medora and walked around the town. We had a beer in one of the local saloons.
